December 11th - Slededededed

Good Evening, afternoon, or morning - whatever it is where you are, Blogmonaut!

Today, on day 11, a duck and a mouse look to be having a great time on a high speed sled-ride over some snowy slopes.

It prompts some questions, so it does: What's the difference between a sled and a sledge? You don't have to Google it, I did! Let me tell you! A sled is powered by momentum only, while a sledge is pulled by someone or something. A sleigh is a type of sledge, not a type of sled - but sleigh always have runners, while sleds and sledgi can have either runners or a flat bottom. We festively collectively learned a thing!

So, another question: Have Imaginary Friends Games ever sledged, or sleddeded (obviously we sleigh every day*)?

Martyn has: He had a red plastic sled that was so ubiquitous in the 80s that it appears in the video for the Shakin' Stevens song "Merry Christmas Everyone".

Fay has not: Being a spoony, with all the considerations that entails, she knows it would probably end in a hospital stay - like the first time she went rollerskating, which ended up with her fracturing both of her forearms;  a long and winding narrative that involves a photocopied jpg of the lead singer of Def Leppard (that did not belong to her), but is a song for another time. Fay composed these sledding friends in lieu of doing it herself - she says she's the mouse, which makes me the duck. I'm super ok with this, have you seen my boots?

Speaking of other times - tomorrow brings us a new Festive Find, and a new, and doubtless thrilling blog post. We hope you'll join us!

Happy Holidays friends,

Imaginary Friends Games
