!!!A FESTIVE LISTICLE IS APPROACHING FAST!!!

     ***TOPIC: CHRISTMAS BELL IMAGERY***

1. We have a lovely foil Christmas decoration in the shape of a gold bell. It's a long-serving friend, and while we have to Sellotape it a different way each year and put the dodgy side to the wall, it still looks fab, and its annual hanging in pride of place in whatever living room we're living in is a sure fire sign that the season just got Festive Found. Foil decorations, they rule, right?

2. Where we used to live for 10 years in Germany, a charming little village near to the old office, the airport, and a big forest where Shindig was born, there was a beautiful church, and you could hear the bells ringing from our house. On Christmas Eve (did you know, Christmas Eve is when most of the real core Christmas activities go down in Germany?) they rang out for what felt like hours, though we could have listened for longer.  

3. There's a bell-ringing mini-game in EyeToy: Play 2, one of the first published games that I (Martyn) worked on. Few people see it, because it's a multiplayer tie-breaker thing, but I still smile broadly at the thought of people bobbing up and down ringing those bells.

4. Silver bells, Silver bells/it's Christmas time in the city It simply wouldn't be an advent calendar without some shiny bells ringing out good will to all men.
