Night has fallen on the 2nd of December, and our house is finally decorated for Xmas!

Yesterday there was a great foray into the loft, a dusty carrying of boxes down our treacherous stairs, a general opening up and exclamation of, "Oh yes, I'd forgotten about this thing!" and a climbing of ladders to pin up the kind-of-tacky-but-we-love-them-anyway foil decorations we've had for years, plus some paper chains that we'd made while watching cartoons in the morning.  By the time we had all of our shinies up, the light was gone, as was our energy - and so the grand task of decorating the tree fell to today.  

An hour or so of work, all collapsed into a 3MB GIF - Xmas magic if ever we saw it. Today's advent calendar involves a skating penguin: a chilly skatebirb, if you will. We hope that you're enjoying spotting our fiendish differences on the calendar, because there are more adorable Xmassy friends to meet as the month goes on.
