December 1st - Let it Snow, Man.
(Martyn here, co-designer and what passes for a coder of Festive Finds: Happy Holidays Calendar)
Welcome, if you're playing along at home, to the first day of December, door number 1 on our Happy Holidays Calendar! We're going to make a little blog post here each day in the run up to Christmas, so check back for insightful insider commentary and inane wintery ramblings (some of them will be written by Fay, the other half of Imaginary Friends Games, and, as such, they will be much less rambly and inane, and much more well-written than this one. I'm a wife-guy, what can I say).
Very early this year we had snow in our little corner of the world, and we made a happy snow-lass:
I reckon she's friends with the resident of door number 1 for sure. While the air now has that crisp, almost a little less cold that before feeling that often indicates a snow is on its way, it's still winter-wind and rain that we're hiding away from - not a hint of snow except in our little game.
We began decorating the studio and getting ready for the holiday season in earnest today. Of course, it's not quite that time of the year until our inaugural watching of the Muppet's Christmas Carol, the official best holiday movie and legitimate top 10 film in all cinematic history. We'll let you know how much we cry at the deleted scene when we get there, but, spoilers, it is always loads.
In other, non-festive news, the big November video game sales wrapped up today, so Shindig (that's our funny, feelsy and fully-voiced narrative adventure, donchaknow) is now back to its regular price. Good news though, that's still, as we say here in the UK, cheap as chips. You can get a bundle with the game's awesome soundtrack* too, which nets you a little discount - as we don't say: Cheaper than chips.
See you tomorrow!
-Imaginary Friends Games-
* I feel OK with saying this since (a) it really is awesome and (b) I only wrote one song of the 40-odd that are on the OST, so I'm not bigging-up myself in a way that makes me feel weird.
